Arsene Wenger has hit out again at the timing of international friendlies after his key midfielder Mathieu Flamini went off with an ankle injury after just 17 minutes of France B's friendly against DR Congo on Tuesday.
"That is one (round of internationals) you could do without," the Arsenal boss told the Daily Star.
"I think if you did a poll of all the clubs involved in the Champions League I wouldn't be surprised if 100 per cent of them said let's get rid of it."
Flamini looks a doubt for Monday's Premier League clash against Blackburn, a game Wenger was desperate to play him in because of his physical presence in the centre of the park.
