Gary Lewin will end a 21-year association with Arsenal by taking a full-time post with England. The Gunners stalwart currently occupies a part-time role as physio to the national team, but will begin his new role on 1st August. Lewin has worked with the Three Lions since 1996, but his appointment as the new head of physiotherapy is part of England boss Fabio Capello's plans to install a permanent medical team in the international fold. "I'm delighted that Gary is joining us," said the Italian. "He has a tremendous amount of experience and will be a huge asset to the squad." Lewin also expressed his delighted at being entrusted with the job. "I'm obviously very sad to leave Arsenal after such a long time but very excited about the role that the FA have offered to me, it will be a great challenge," he said.
