If you believe what you read in the newspapers, Arsenal's players are queuing up to leave Emirates Stadium. Arsène Wenger knows that the truth is very different.
Like most Arsenal fans, the Frenchman wakes up to new transfer gossip every day with Emmanuel Adebayor's so-called 'salary demands' hogging the latest back pages.
Is Wenger concerned? Far from it. The Arsenal manager is convinced that his squad will stick together and pointed out that the number of players who want to leave the Club is far outweighed by those clamouring to join it.
"I don't know [about the Adebayor stories], I discovered that as well in the newspapers," said Wenger at his pre-match press conference.
"Negotiations are negotiations and we keep secret what we do. When something is concluded we come out with it, it's as simple as that.
"But I believe I have more demands for players who want to join us than players who want to leave us. Because Arsenal is a massive club, we are hugely admired all over the world, and many players dream of playing for us.
"When I read the newspapers it looks like everybody wants to leave but inside it's not like that at all. I believe strongly in the players I have and I believe we'll have a very strong side next year."
Wenger admitted this week that he will spend the summer "on the phone" with new signings high on his agenda. But, as ever, the Frenchman will wheel and deal within Arsenal's means. Wenger has no time for billionaire investors.
"Every club should have to deal with its own resources and should be forbidden to have any other income than natural resources," he insisted. "It is realistic because all the rest is false competition."
