Arsene Wenger has hit out at Real Madrid president Ramon Calderon’s public declaration of affection for Arsenal star Cesc Fabregas.
Calderon has signalled his intention to bring a strong Spanish core to Real and he has spoken of his desire to bring Fabregas to the Bernabeu.
Wenger has been forced to fight fires on a couple of fronts, with Inter’s pursuit of Alexander Hleb also causing him concern, and he has warned Real that they must go through the propel channels if they wish to sign his players.
"The rules are clear: if you are interested in a player then first you have to call us,” said Wenger.
“Real Madrid come out and say they want that player. That is something I would never do."
