Arsène Wenger has primed his side for penalties ahead of Tuesday night's Champions League Quarter-Final second leg at Anfield and says that, should the game go to spot-kicks, it will be a battle of nerves.
The last three games between Arsenal and Liverpool have finished 1-1. If this one has the same scoreline after normal time and extra time then the tie will have to be decided in a shoot-out. Wenger has had his players working on spot-kicks but he knows the nerves on the night are usually the determining factor.
“We're prepared for penalties," he said. "All the 36 players involved in the game can take one technically. But the pressure aspect is more important on the day of the game than the technical aspect.”
