Adebayor has revealed that he is refreshed after being rested from Arsenal's Premier League's fixture last weekend
The Togolese striker was left on the bench for last Saturday’s clash with Bolton, when 10-man Arsenal executed remarkable comeback that saw them run out 3-2 winners after being two goals down.
"I really needed that, because I had played all of the games during the season, even in the Carling Cup sometimes," he said.
"At the end of the day, I was tired and the boss is there to do that [rest me].
"You can see now that I am a little bit fresher than before. Now physically I am very good."
"It is not that I put pressure on myself, but I have had to do the job alone because Robin van Persie got injured and then we lost Eduardo as well," he insisted.
"Whenever the boss has asked me to do it, I have to do it. After all, I am here to play football, as much as I can.
"For me the most important thing is to keep on going, but as a human being if you need a break you have to take it."
He added: "I may have not been scoring, but I am making a lot of positive things for my team-mates. This is the most important thing.
"For me, it is not just about scoring, if you make something for someone else, that is just like a goal. I will just keep on going.
"If I get a chance, I will try to put it in. If I do not get a chance, then I will just work hard for my team-mates."
