Arsenal fans' Premier League season review

By Anthony Leaver, contributor to the Gooner fanzine

How was it for you?
It would have been full marks after we went five points clear in February, but obviously we fell away with a dire run of form. We exceeded our own expectations so the season has been a success.
Verdict: 7.5/10

The manager - "good job" or "time to go"?
We've not won anything for three years but in Arsene we trust. The team has progressed again this season, but perhaps he needs to bring in another coach, a defensive specialist maybe.

Best player / worst player:
Bacary Sagna - From the moment he made his debut against Fulham on the opening day he looked a class act. I can't think of a single winger that got the better of him and it is no coincidence our season fell apart when he was forced off injured at Chelsea.
Emmanuel Eboue - He looks out of position at full-back, he looks out of place on the wing, and basically he's out of place in the Premier League. He's been here a couple of years now and just isn't up to the job.

Finest hour - the moment of the season:
We didn't enjoy the best of results against the 'big four' and a double over Spurs is expected so wiping the floor with Milan in the San Siro stands out as the highlight.

Big issue:
I'm not too concerned about Flamini leaving or Hleb going if he decides to jump ship too. But can we really expect Arsene to pull more rabbits out of the hat with the limited money available?
